JD Horizons business portfolio comprises four principal segments -
JD Horizons main business activity centres on the development, marketing and supply of FlowSolve ® product lines to the international oil industry, most notably in the oilfield chemicals market segment. In particular, our primary market focus relates to performance chemicals for oilfield and refinery flow assurance applications.
Within this business segment JD Horizons has an active portfolio of additive development and marketing programmes for oil industry applications.
JD Horizons philosophy is to identify novel or unexploited chemistry and, through fast track development projects, bring to market new high performance products designed to fill specific flow assurance additive technology needs. Environmental compliance for offshore markets, such as the North Sea, is a key deliverable for new additive technology. Current programmes include new chemistry development for asphaltene inhibitors, wax deposition inhibitors and cold flow improvers.
In 2001 JD Horizons acquired a technology licence from BP on behalf of the DART JV to develop, manufacture and market asphaltene inhibitors for crude oil production, particularly in deepwater, offshore operations such as the Gulf of Mexico and Brazil.
JD Horizons is actively seeking new opportunities to develop additive technology platforms for the oilfield chemicals market.
JD Horizons also provides sales, marketing and business development resources for chemical marketers and other specialist technology suppliers to the oil industry. JD Horizons has undertaken a broad portfolio of project activity with industry leader chemical suppliers and other specialist technology companies within the oil and gas industry. Project management services are supplied under the ProSolve™ trademark.
JD Horizons also provides a range of consulting and business support services for oil companies, oil industry service companies, chemical manufacturers and other specialist oil industry suppliers. Typically, these services are confidential, single client projects although JD Horizons also undertakes multi-client market research studies. Consulting services are supplied under the ProSolve™ and DataSolve™ trademarks.
Reflecting the technical and marketing nature of its business JD Horizons selectively publishes in depth, commercially orientated reports on specialist markets for performance chemicals in both the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry. Market research reports are published under the DataSolve™ trademark.
